WIC HGB BILLING

Soooo, I’m just curious if any health departments are still billing for blood? We received the info on proper accounting systems and info, but we are just wanting everyone else’s opinion! To bill or to not bill?? Thanks in advance 🙂

Bill! You will get paid by HSHP, MoCare and Medicaid. I only get rejections from UHC.

We have always billed hbg. With UHC, apply the QW code in the ‘A’ modifier space and also be sure you’re adding your CLIA number. Brittany

I get paid with all, no denials. Mo Care is the only one that a modifier is not required. If you do put the modifier in the claim with Mo Care it will get denied.
