UHC Payments

Hello All,
So, I was just wanting advice/info on which UHC payment option everyone is using. We are still receiving paper checks but they are phasing those out. I have the option for regular direct deposit, or doing the virtual cards. Does anyone use the virtual card option or can give some in site on either one?

We do direct deposit. We use PaySpan to print remittances. Then I can print those to cross reference with my bank statement.

I USE PAYSPAN ALREADY FOR MOCARE, IS IT DIFICULT TO SET IT UP FOR UHC? IS THAT WHAT THEY ARE CALLING A “VIRTUAL CARD”?

I get electronic payments through Payspan for Mo Care, United Healthcare Community Plan, Home State Health and Cox. Virtual cards are different. Every time an insurance company sends me a virtual card, I have to call and request a paper check because our office doesn’t accept them. So I’m not sure how those work.

Direct deposit because our credit card company keeps a fee when using the virtual card.

We use EFTs/direct deposit and obtain the Remit/EOB through Optum Bank and have no issues.

Sorry…anyone using direct deposit through optum?? After printing the form for direct deposit I am reading that there are fees associated with this. Can anyone give me info on around what the fees and charges are?? We don’t have the extra for fees!!
