Has anyone had any luck getting paid administration from straight Medicaid? Can you offer any tips or advice? Thanks!
I use Z23 as the diagnosis code, and use CPT codes 0001A and 0002A for Pfizer first and second doses, and 0011A and 0012A for Moderna first and second doses. I filed both the first and second doses on the same claim. The last claims I filed paid a total of 28.39, which is an average of the first and second dose fees as approved by Medicare. This was before we were notified that Medicare will pay up to $40 per shot. Hope this helps!
Paula, and you’re filing this on the Emomed/MoHealthNet site? Our Medicaid biller left last fall and so we’re trying to figure it out! Thank you for your help!
We have gotten 99211 paid. Then I write off the balance. You might try billing like an Adult 317 flu claim……..pharmacy claim????
Paula, When you bill Medicaid for covid vaccines are you billing pharmacy? Do you bill through any managed care? I am getting denied through both Mohealth net and Homestate and each said on a conference call “We do not pay this” Call the pharmacy. Thank you!
