I’m just curious if everyone uses emomed ( MO Health Net) to verify coverage and if there is an additional carrier? I’m am getting several overpayments because emomed did not show additional carriers and the client had other coverage.
Yes I do. If there is no additional carrier I call the client. If the client states they do then I notify medicaid so they can up date it. If the do not I call the MCP to let them know the other insurance has lapsed. Sometimes the MCP will want you to call emomed and inform them of the lapse as well.
Thank you for your response. I think we are doing that at our front desk. I just had one especially creep up on me. We were getting remittance all along, then a denial and found out that she recently got additional coverage.
