KeymasterI know I am probably beating a dead horse here guys – but I am just trying to figure out the best way to bill for these.
I was reviewing our ICD-10 codes – and I am confused on why we need to have 3 different codes to bill this.
We are using z130 for children, z3201 for prenatals, and z391 for post partum.
z130 states it is screening for iron deficiency anemia – no age limit
z3201 states it is for encounter for preg test, result positive
z391 states it is for lactating education and/or breastfeedingI am wondering if everyone is using three different codes – and why we are using a preg test code for hemoglobins.
