do we have to bill medicare first and get rejected before Medicaid will pick up. He has both.
Please tell me how to do. bill thru the pharmacy or not. Thanks for your help.

Medicare Part B will NOT pay for Shingrix. If they have Part D it will pay according to what the plan covers. We bill Part D through Transactrx. It is really simple. You need their name, sex, DOB and the last 4 of their Social Security number. I signed up with them several years ago. If the patient doesn’t have Part D it tells you immediately.
I have not billed Medicaid for Shingrix, sorry.

We use Transactrx and VaxCare to bill vaccines for Medicare Part D. Prefer Transactrx for Shingrix. I believe Medicare would have to deny before Medicaid would pay.
