    Is there a set time providers are required to keep a copy of the EOBs for?

    I don’t believe there is any. I shred mine as soon as I have payments posted. The posted payments have all the information you need, pt name, date of service, amount paid and check number.

    I would check with your board or commission. Our commission require us to hold onto them for 3 years (I believe) if there was a county audit.

    We are required to keep all records 5 years from the date the financial audit was completed for that year. That is our policy. Not sure if that is a state regulation or just our local policy.
