We are looking at setting up Electronic Health Records here at the Health Department. I am curious what program/software everyone uses? Does it sync with Show Me Vax? Does it also do billing for Medicaid, Managed Cares, and Medicare automatically? This is all new for us anyone who is willing to share their knowledge here, GREAT…or feel free to email me at wallace@texasmo.org

    Thank you in advance!

Any software will give you a free demo. We use Office Ally. It does billing, reminder call/texts, health record, scheduling……..it doesn’t automatically sync with SMVAX. It will but I haven’t had time to mess with it. No software does ‘automatic’ billing. You have to input the data and submit. We pay about $100/month and it does everything (except SMVAX) that we want.

We are getting ready to use CureMD. According to the company CureMD automatically syncs with SMV. We will see about billing. I have not used it yet for billing so I am not sure how it works.

    Donna,

It’s not going to be the one we go with, but AthenaHealth does the billing automatically. It’s what sets them apart from everyone else.

We were working on Office Ally sync to SMVAX but the person I put in charge never finished and has since left. Office Ally was a really reasonable price when we started with them. Plus I was able to import a ton of patients from our old EHR.

When and how are you demoing CureMD

    I’m following as well.

I attended a demo on CureMD back in August, and I really liked it. I haven’t had time to schedule any other demos yet, and we haven’t decided to go with CureMD yet, but it looks like they would be great for our needs. They do sync with SMV. Bill Adsit is the man’s name who demoed CureMD for me. His email is bill.adsit@curemd.com. I will see about getting a demo with Office Ally, and I have a flyer on Champ Software as well that I am going to look into.
