KeymasterWhich COVID-19 Vaccines are you offering at your health department? Will you be ordering Novavax?
We are currently offering all that are available (excluding Novavax as there are no state standing orders or vaccine yet).
With having all 7 vaccines available (Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J with all age groups authorized), wasting, maintaining education, dosing admin and prep, storage, and documentation are becoming tedious and time consuming.July 25, 2022 at 10:46 am #18528Missouri Public Health Association
KeymasterI am from the Warren County Health Department. At this time, we are offering all age groups for Moderna and Pfizer. We are no longer carrying J&J. At this time we are not considering Novavax due to it being for first dose series only. We do not have many coming in for first doses at this time. We plan to see if we receive calls requesting Novavax prior to ordering the vaccine.

KeymasterJanssen and Pfizer. Once we run out of Janssen, we will only offer Pfizer. We don’t have the space or staff to manage all the COVID vaccines. The Adult Immunizations contract only requires that we carry COVID vaccine for all age groups not each type of COVID vaccine. Pfizer meets that requirement. Our area is fortunate to have numerous approved vaccinators with physicians clinics, Wal-Mart, Walgreens, CVS, and other small-town pharmacies, so we can easily refer just down the street if someone only wants Moderna. We’ve only encountered that a handful of times.

KeymasterAt Dent Co we have Moderna and Pfizer adult, Pfizer 5-11, And Pfizer and Moderna for 6mo, plus J&J.
We will not reorder J&J when we run out or it expires.
We do intend to stock Novavax when it is available. We have a small list of people who claim they will get vaccinated when it comes out due to the difference in technology.
