When billing Healthy Blue WIC – What is the modifier?? Is it EP or SL?

EP for all patients under 21; SL for all state supplied vaccine.

I am just curious what you are billing towards Healthy Blue from a WIC appt? Realizing we might be missing reimbursement revenues.

We bill for WIC certifications, recertifications, mid-certs. We bill a 99211 for all Medicaid clients.

We use to bill WIC for certifications, recertifications, mid-certs. I thought last year when the WIC contracts were raised that we were no longer allowed to bill Medicaid for the services. Does anyone know if we can or can’t?

Tammy, our WIC coordinator checked into this with the state and if we were billing and WIC was getting paid through their Grant we are “Double dipping” (I am paraphrasing) so we stopped billing.
