Maybe I am just behind on this bit of information. But if you are a 340B carved in provider (you purchase vaccines through the discounted 340b programe and bill Medicaid) beginning July 1, we have to put a “20” in the “Submission Clarification Code” and add modifier JG or TB to it. (when doing a pharmacy claim, not sure about any other because I don’t bill anything else to straight medicaid)
• Modifier “JG” Drug or biological acquired with 340B drug pricing program
discount.
• Modifier “TB” Drug or biological acquired with 340B drug pricing program
discount, reported for informational purposesI have never done this. So I wonder how may others don’t know about this. It came on a Provider Bulletin on June 7, 2021. (Im not the best in reading or knowing if they pertain to me lol)
If anyone has any addition information on this please share with the group.
