Missouri Public Health AssociationKeymasterwe do the WIC security training, a couple HIPAA videos from youtube, and discuss it during a staff meeting. We used to do a training through heartland but last time i checked they were revamping it.

Missouri Public Health AssociationKeymasterI used DHSS’s training, but note that some of it doesn’t apply. Here is what I send staff:
https://health.mo.gov/training/hipaa/index.html
We are required to perform HIPAA training annually. This takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. This specific training is intended for DHSS staff, but most of it is still applicable to us and will serve as adequate training.
What is not applicable in this training:
• Laptops with Safeboot (we don’t have laptops with sensitive info on them or use Safeboot, Patagonia is cloudbased, or at least you aren’t supposed to store sensitive stuff on them!)
• Encrypted email: it shows you how to encrypt an email working at DHSS, we do it differently. Let me know if you need to encrypt an email and I can show you how.
• References to their policies
• Disclosure notification: At any point you think there may have been a breach of information, notify your supervisor, Misty, or myself immediately.
• At the end you should exit rather than putting in your info for credit. It is only for DHSS staff.May 3, 2023 at 1:15 pm #16946
