Does anyone bill commercial/private insurance for nutrition counseling by the registered dietitians? If so, what CPT and ICD10 codes are you using? What criteria need to be met? Also, is anyone billing commercial/private insurance for Well woman exams, STD testing, etc? If so, how do you handle clients that do not have insurance, sliding scale or cash discount?

    Thanks,

    Donna

Barry County only bills private/com insurance for immunizations through vaxcare. We are looking into this in the future – so I am glad that you have asked this question.

    Donna-
I hope I addressed your questions regarding what Franklin County does while you and Mary were in our office. We are implementing a cash discount policy somewhat soon (by the 1st of May). I am not sure what that is going to entail at this point.
Not sure I have been very much help. if you need more assistance- call or email 🙂

    Danielle,
Yes, you did help with some of our questions. Right now we want to look at our Nurse Practitioner clinic fees, but thanks for your help.

We only private insurances for immunizations. We use Vaxcare and then I bill directly for purchased vaccines used.

We have been thinking about starting this in the future also, but at this point no decision has been made. Please let me know any info you find.

I have a couple of questions about the Billing process with insurance, we currently have vaxcare but I am going through the process of networking with insurance companies. All insurance companies I have contacted has said something about CAQH. We are under a Dr. by signed orders but currently do not have a Dr or NP in office. Do I need to go under the Dr CAQH under added location? I don’t think he has knowledge of having a CAQH but he does have a ID number so does that mean he really has one? Can some one shine some light on this? I have spoke several times with Polk County and they have been great! Just wondering if anyone else can give me some pointers on getting this started?
