Scott County Health Dept. only completes the Temporary Medicaid Applications or the Report a Pregnancy forms. We do not do the full Medicaid application for Pregnant Women (MPW) or for children. We were also told during the webinar about losing our certification if 90% of the women didn’t apply for MPW. It’s highly unlikely this would happen since we all have taken over the job that Family Support Division used to do. We are the only ones in our county that complete Temporary Medicaid applications. We do not have the staff or the time to complete the MPW application so we give the client a form that shows them how to apply online, by phone, or where to go for paper applications.
