We (WIC Certifiers/Clerks) attended a webinar that trained us on how to complete temp Medicaid applications. We check them on emomed to see if they are active first, then if they aren’t – depending on what coding they have – we have them fill out a PE-1SSL paper application. Upon completion of that form we fill out the PE-3 TEMP form, PE-2 Worksheet (2 pgs), and the MEDES Report a Pregnancy form. We give them a copy of the PE-3 and an information page we have on Application for Presumptive Eligibility to take with them until they receive a card from the final insurance company, and have them follow up with state in 48 hours. We then fax the PE forms, MEDES Report a Pregnancy, and if needed a Change of Name, or Change of Address over to state. We do not do an online application (not sure what that is).
We have charts that give us income levels to see if they qualify for TEMP or SMHB. We also have charts that explain all the codings for emomed – so we know if they need to do a full application or just a Report a Pregnancy.
I don’t know what a Medes 1 or Medes 6 are…I wrote what the bottom right of our forms say. They might be the same thing.
I believe we were told we had to attend that webinar before we could do any temp apps. Maybe that is what you are thinking by loosing your certification.
Sorry this was so long
